SNB-E/X79 Chipset Details

4 & 6 core at launch, 8 core later was a rumor from around a year ago. The 8 core SB in LGA 2011 is supposedly launching in Q4 so we'll see.

The integrated PCIe controller configurations are interesting. It looks like it may only have 32 lanes and not 40 as expected. With 8 lanes in the PCH, it seems that bridges are still necessary for 3 x16 slots. Let the complaining begin. ;)
