Im watching TV with my PC idleing suddenly I hear this loud SNAP! Or a bang or what ever. And then the PC is rebooting. It didnt sound good so I pulled the plug. PC has one HD, One DVD drive, A few fans, and its water cooled and OC'd. Its and AC powered pump...

I figured it was a cap or a power diode that blew up. I inspected everything looking for the source. Everything looked fine and nothing even smelled charred. I thought it might have been pump failure, but it was running fine and the water block was not even warm to the touch.

I pulled out the PSU, it is a 4 month old Forton Blue Storm, the 480W one. My power load should be a cakewalk for this PS. Since I had already forfieted my warrenty on it I opened it up again for a look. Again everything looked fine, no burst caps, and no cracked diodes. Again didnt smell like death. After inspection I put it back on the MOBO and tried firing it up. I have an ASUS A7N8x with an on board indicator LED. It was green which told me it was sensing a PS and a video card. It wouldnt boot or even try too. I pulled the bios battery to reset the bios. No boot. :(

Whats the next step? Advice? I dont have a second PS. What usually blows on these things? I cant seem to find a damaged part...

I couldnt remember the green to black wire shorting trick, so I didnt have a chance to power it up uninstalled.

EDIT:
FWIW, I had posting problems from a cold start. In other words it would power everything up and drives would be spinning but it would not post. Power off and back on and it would post fine. It seems that this was a common hassle with my Mobo. Many people on this forum seemed to experience this with no other problems.

So anyone know what usually pops in these things? I looked for an internal fuse or sacrificial filter capacitor and there isnt any that is obvious.
