I have a SN95G5 V1.2 and I want to flash the bios. I have the bios file from shuttle, but I just need the utility to flash (Pheonix). I tried flashing the bios with Phlash16.exe 1.0.0.33 but, I get an error which says "Cannot flash if Memory Managers (e.g. EMM386) present". I can't fine a newer version of the bios, And I already read through the manual from shuttle and didnt see anything other than instructions on using the bios. Thanks for any help!

What are you flashing for? When did you get your Shuttle? Shoot, I plan to order that same one from Newegg either today or tomorrow, still contemplating the decision as that's a big chunk of my dough, yo! What's in your rig right now there, buddy and how's it runnin'?

EDIT: How come after I post anything it makes the thread icon like a little picture???

It subscribes you to the thread (aka marking it so you can follow up on it)

I would suggest doing some reading before you take the plunge. but then again, since you don't know the issue(s) you "probably" wouldn't notice it anyway?? but that's subjective...

cpu temperatures are being misreported. aside from that it benches up there with the best systems. g'luk!

Eh, I don't understand how the CPU misreadings would matter, these cases weren't meant for OCing anyhow, but oh well.

sorry for not clarifying then. I was merely pointing out the main issue. the sudhian forums have quite a few cranky threads on the sn95 temp issue. I agree with what you say here and I said the same thing after reading most of those threadz. is the fan on and the system isn't blowing up after x amount of time? learn patience or don't buy new hardware...

oc'ing and sff's shouldn't be uttered in the same sentence but many do. go figger. I see no reason with the bench'z this beast gets anyway.

2 each iz own

flashing with wrong bios or wrong bios version, the shuttle protects itself to prevent wrong flashing.

either corrupt download CRC, try re DL.
flashing under dos environment requires u to type exact filename.
u can also flash under windows via winflash a utility enclosed on mobo driver cd

Hey buddy, the CD that came with your Shuttle has WinFlash on it; use this to flash the BIOS right from Windows.

BTW, anyone stil bitching about the temp sensor is a jerk. A BIOS revision fixed it over a month ago.

Anyone order a SN95G5 from newegg recently and can tell me what revision you got?

I suck at flashing bios manually thru MS-DOS. I had to use some FlashMenu program that came with my MoBo drivers. ;)
