Hello,


Looking for a good ICE fan replacement for my shuttle SN85GV3 ( It's a 92mm style fan/3 pin ) Reason is that I'm deploying some where and taking my shuttle with me, I'm little worried the cooling fan may crap out, since I already have a SN85GV2 that the ICE fan has crapped out twice ( Which I currently am running a 80x15x15mm Zalman )

Frosty, I dont have an answer to your original question, but you may be able to solve my problem. My ICE fan on a shuttle sn85g4v2, is starting to crap out. You replaced yours with a zalman, was it the op-1? How does it do? Is it as good or better than the OEM part?

Goodluck in getting shuttle to help you out on the fan, they basically blew me off. Yes the fan is op1, as far as the cooling goes it does a good job in my opinion. Not as good as the original fan but does make a good replacement. I've been using the op1 for about 5 months on my sn85gv2 with no heat issues/lock-ups and this is with heaving gaming daily. But it all comes down to your room temp. where the computer is set up at and other factors.If you decide to try the fan your temps. may be different.

the environment is an office environment, desktop. It used to be kept in an overhead locked cabinet where it ran flawlessly for 6 months, but since its out, the fan sounds like the bearings are going.

Hehe, I tried to fill out a general email question to shuttle, but they wanted S/n, product ID, etc etc. All were required and I didnt have the box in front of me (its in a data-center hooked to a backhaul to our main data pipe at the ISP/telco I work for). I just wanted fan specs :D

Thank you for the feedback, I'll probably grab the zalman if another lead doesnt show any results.
