SN41G2V2 Questions

Hi, please answer these questions or direct me to the answers is possible.

1. Can I use an AMD mobile Athlon XP 2500+ in this shuttle?

2. Do I need a video card before I can use DDR400 ram?

3. Does this barebone come with everything I need so that I can just buy the OEM versions of the rest of the parts?

I'm a newbie (obviously) at building computers so if you have any suggestions or advice I'm open to hearing them.

i ran mine at 210 with a single stick of ram.. it worked.. but i knew i wasn't supposed to do it.. so i bought a video card...

that shuttle will work great for overclocking.. you can adjust the multi from something like 6 - 20.. the vcore from 1 - 2v.. don't touch the vdimm though.. get memory that can run well at low voltages..

i would get the sn45gv2 though.. and a vid card

get that.. i would have, but it didn't come out until a month after i bought my sn41g2v2..

but with an agp card, the 41 will handle 200+ fsb with no problems

also.. i say this over and over.. but get a 2400+ 35 watt, or a 2600+ 45 watt.. don't get the 2500+ 45 watt.. becasuse the 35w 2400+ is the same damn price and has a lower stock voltage... 1.35 vs 1.45 it gives you that extra .10 v of overclocking headroom, which doesn't sound like much.. but every bit helps...

it comes with all cables, and everything.. you just need a plan cpu.. i would get some arctic silver, it is a good investment for the future...

so, get the 41 if you really like the g2 case.. or you want a black one
or get the 45 if you want to know that it is guarunteed to run 200fsb..

I'll share the same sentiments as scottatwittenberg. The only thing is I would recommend getting a passively cooled video card as that would make the system much more quiet.

Bottom line:

so, get the 41 if you really like the g2 case.. or you want a black one
or get the 45 if you want to know that it is guarunteed to run 200fsb..
