Well guys, the time has come for me to upgrade. Any suggestions comments or anything? my plans are to run this setup. is the onboard sound ont eh sn25p any good? i know the biostar i have no runs good onboard. and do the doors on the front cover teh DCD drive or do they open for you when you eject a cd?

HIS X800XL (Will that fit in the SN?)

My eyes! It is almost English, but not quite.

Anyway - The sound on the sound chip on the shuttle is very good if you are after accurate reproduction. If you are a pure gamer, there is better available. NOTE - as with any sound discussion the Comp Audio forum will have more detailed answers.

When you read do you read word for word? I scan so I cant see any spelling errors untill you said that :p

both of those set ups are nice, and yeah i say take the sound over to audio forum and see which would be better, or look for 3rd party reviews on each.....

The quoted section is what gets me. The flip down doors on the front are essentially spring loaded and the one over the CD bay will go down when you eject your cd. If the question is do they attach like an applique - then no.
 
The SN25P takes the x800xl no problem. I even added a zalmon 7700 or whatever that vid card flower cooler is. I lost the extra pci-e slot, but I cant find anythng to put in there anyway. I like the shuttle a lot, very well designed imho. The shuttle also overclocks like a demon. Through windows I went past 320 ht fsb and my venice 3200 has no problems with stock voltage and a 600mhz overclock.
 
the SN25P is clearly the better choice. As said it has very good sound for a built in. If you are a gamer then there are other choices but you can always switch parts around. That is part of the fun!
