I just got an sn25p about a week ago and I'm having a small problem. When both of my sticks of ram are in, i dont get any video and the smart fan feature never activates. But, when I take out the stick thats in the left slot, it works fine. I read that updating the Bios to the "Y" version fixed this problem but it didnt. And it's also not the ram because it works with either stick, just not both at the same time.

If anyone has any advice that would be great.
 
Is this system.. and more specifically the ram overclocked in any way?

Just wondering if it is an overclock that is causing this issue (specifically on the ram)
 
I know the shuttles can be pretty picky about ram, especially in dual channel mode, perhaps get another set of dual channel memory (another brand / model) and give that a try if you can.
 
No it's not overclocked.

I'll try and see if I can borrow a friend's ram.
 
have you tried putting 1 stick in 1 slot and testing each slot...you may have a faulty slot and have to RMA the thing all together.
 
I just got the same problem. The 2 slots worked for awhile but for some reason if i played any game thats not FEAR, the computer would crash. After awhile, the 2nd slot just didnt want to work at all. I used another stick of 512 in the broken 2nd slot.. but it doesnt show up at all.. just says theres only 1gb of ram inside.
