Hey everyone,
just got my new system about two weeks ago, and I was wondering what everyone was getting for GPU temps in their SN25s.
My Specs:
Shuttle SN25P
AMD 64 3200+ Winnie
1 Gb Mushkin DDR 433 @ 400 mhz
BFG 6800 GT OC running 66.93, BIOS 5.40.02.28
WD Raptor 36 Gb
WD 160 Gb ATA 133
All stock cooling / stock clock speeds.
Windows XP SP 2
I can run my system for hours on end just in windows, ambient typically sits between 62-72 C idle, depending on if I have the case cover on or not and what speed the case fans are running. If I'm playing WoW with all the goodies on, temp sits around 74-81 C on the GPU, but if I try to play something like Painkiller, the temps rise to 88+ C in a matter of 10 minutes. After that, the system hangs and when I hit reset, the screen stays black (this issue I know is due to outdated BIOS on the Shuttle). I have tried the 71.84, 76.10, and 66.93 drivers, with and without the case cover on, fan speed set to Full or auto using speedfan 4.22 (yes its configured correctly), and even underclocking the video card to stock 6800 GT speeds (350mhz/1ghz) and the results never really vary. Reasonably sure that its the video card overheating, my other temps in speedfan sit at or under 45 C, except for PSU and Northbridge, which sit at 60 C, and the heatsink on the GPU is HOT to the touch.
What temps are you getting? Is it time to RMA the card?
