SMP2 on i7 920 help request

Hi Guys,

Been having some trouble with my smp2 setup over the last week. Running an i7 920 at 3.6ghz, 6gb, win 7 x64, gtx 280.

The other day I noticed in hfm that ppd on the smp client was reported as 700. Didn't make much sense as cpu load was at 100%. Thought it was a problem with hfm but when I checked the fah console window it showed that each frame was taking between 10mins and 2 hours...very odd i thought.

Processor is perfectly linx/prime 95. System is not overheating/throttling. Performance is fine in all other applications.

I let a few units run through at this v. slow speed but nothing changed with new units. Completely uninstalled fah last night and re-installed. Same thing is happening. My GPU client (GTX280 oc) is running perfectly fine at just under 10,00ppd.

Any ideas guys?

did you make sure you put the -smp -advmethod in the short cut? and also while the smp client was running did run cpu-z at the same time to see if the cpu was throttling?

what does task manager says about cpu usage for fah? Maybe another process is using the cpu too?
Is the tpf the same in the log?
