SMP question on 8 core box

I have a new 8-core Mac Pro and am running the fah console client. The Nahlem procs in the box have two threads per core so I have 16 threads (when bringing up the Activity Monitor, it shows 16 monitors).

Is there any way to get the console version to run on all threads of a core instead of just one? Using the -smp switch only tells the app to run on thread #0 of a core, not #0 and #1 of the core. Running the client with the -smp switch runs the client on the first thread of each core only, not both. If I want to have the client run on both threads, is there a switch that I'm missing?

Doesnt really work that way.

The best way for this to work unfortunaely is to run a couple of VMs and use the Native Linux client.

You only need to use VM's for maximum performance if you're running Windows. Run with SMP client with "-smp 8" rather than "-smp" to utilize 8 cores, which is the max you can utilize with a single client. Use two clients like this to use all 16.
