Had a system crash,
SMP wouldn't run, I figured I needed the new client.
Old one was at 18%.
Opened the new one in a new directory and tried just copying FAH and some other files to the old directory. Didn't work.
Tried doing a new install and copying the old work etc. files over, Worked but I get
"Working with standard loops
...8 improper terminations of core"

But I do get "Extra SSE boost ok"

Should I just sh!tcan the old stuff?

Wasting cycles :(

You just need to transfere the Queue.dat, Client.cfg & the Work folder to a new install to get it to run the old work.
Then just rerun the Install.bat and you should be good to go.

The SSE boost is hardcoded into the client but you can add the -forceasm flag to the shortcut if you want.

Just check the first few lines show your username and team 33.
Otherwise you'll need to run with the -config only flag to reset it back from defaults.

If on Vista you may need to rest the permissions so it will run.

Luck ............... :D

Thanks, it looks like it's running ok. I was just concerned it would drop back to the slow safe fold.

My SMP boxen always run with SSE ---- even though I always get the error message about improper shut down. It seems that any shut down is improper.
