SMP GUI client?

Hey guys I don't have much computing power to contribute but my pc and or laptop is on most of the time so I thought I'd make good use of its uptime. So I downloaded the SMP client for Windows and couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I ran install.bat and messed around a little bit but nothing seems to work. Is there a gui client that is smp aware? I'm using Vista Ultimate x86 SP1 by the way. I'm looking forward to contributing in any way I can, just need to get over this hurdle first :)
