I am running the 2 clients linked in the giveaway thread. The smp client works ok but when I open the gpu client smp progress stops but my cpu is still running at 100%.

Also I cant figure out how to change settings. I tried uninstalling and deleting everything but when I reinstall it launches without giving me a chance to reconfigure my settings.

This is what I would try:

Uninstall the ATI client using add/remove programs.
Uninstall the MPICH software using add/remove programs.
Delete the F@H folder with the SMP client and all other data in it.
Download and install the MPICH SMP client again, following the instructions here: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1511766
One change though, if you do not have Hyperthreading turned on (and you really should) then when editing the shortcut put in:
-smp 3 -advmethods
If you have Hyperthreading on then use this instead:
-smp 7 -advmethods
Download the GPU client and follow the installation instructions here: http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=1032943611&postcount=4
Make VERY CERTAIN you chose "lowest possible" as the Core priority.

I am fairly certain this will fix this issue for you.

The number after SMP specifies how many cores you want F@H to use. If you use all your cores it can actually slow F@H down if your computer is doing other things as well, such as playing games or running the GPU client. Basically by using this command you turn your computer into two computers, one 3 or 7 processor PC dedicated solely to running F@H, and one single-core PC that is running the GPU client as well as whatever else you are using it for. So this provides better results for F@H than you would ever possibly get short of fully dedicating the system to folding, and provides better overall responsiveness and usefulness for everything else you are doing.

Thanks guys, seams to be working ok now.

I used the guide that Zero82z posted seamed to bring cpu usage down but smp was still freezing.
I added the -smp 7 -advmethods flag and that seamed to solve it.
