SMP client problems

Been having an odd problem with the SMP client. I've reformatted but the problem still persists. If I run the client without the -smp flag, it's fine. However as soon as it's launched with -smp included I get the following message

Size of work/wudata_01.bed was not saved
Folding@Home Core Shudown: FILE_IO_ERROR

Any ideas of what's going on?
 
This may be what is happening. The 3rd post has the same error in the log. If this doesn't help post your log with the error here and I'm sure that you will get lots of help. :)
