I can't seem to get everything working here for some reason.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct or not ?

I have the cable modem going to the red interface. The green interface is going to the router, but here is where I am confused. Is the green interface supposed to plug into the "Internet" port of the router or just one of the lan ports ? I think its just one of the lan ports, but I still can't get it to work.

I disabled DHCP on the router (Linksys), Enabled DHCP on the Smoothwall, but when I renew the IP address, it gives me back a lan address that is not specified from Smoothwall. IE I have Smoothwall only set up to give out addresses from 192.168.1.6 and up but it returns a .100 IP.

When I run ipconfig it shows me that the default gateway is smoothwall, but I can't seem to get anything to connect to the net...any suggestions ?

I checked out some of the smoothwall site, but still with no luck.

If it helps, I think it might be something to do with the red interface not being configured correctly.

Does anyone know what I enter in the "DHCP" hostname field when I set the red interface to use DHCP from my isp ?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Murph

DNS Server set to the smoothwall?

It seems you want your Linksys to act as a switch -- you will want to connect it via the LAN port (as you mentioned) to the smoothwall's GREEN interface. And yes, make sure DHCP is off on the Linksys. :)

What did you set the IP of the LInksys as?
