Big ugly cubes on your wrist. Since when was that stylish?
I bet smart watches will flop

I recently purchased a pebble and it has changed my life. Seriously, it is a very very useful tool for me.

Of course that is your opinion, but there isn't much alternative to your argument. Based on available technology and the usage of the device, there isn't much freedom in the design.

That analogue watch might be more "fashionable", but it hardly provides the usefulness of other models.

Some of us think that carrying around a 5" smartphone is "ugly", but you don't see us singing it on the mountain.

yes but I'd think I represent the average joe when I say the current generation of smartwatches is ugly.

Multimillions of 5" smartphones sold tells me the smartphone isn't ugly enough.

I hope they do.

So you want to pull a 5-6inch phone out of your pocket to read an e-mail or text message?

Or would you rather take a peek at your watch to see the priority of the notification?

I hope they catch on.....its convenient to look at a watch than to....... pull a phone out, unlock it, open e-mail, then read, then reply......

When I can just view the item on the watch, hit reply, voice command what I want to reply....and keep calm and carry on.

I'm still laughing at the idea of watch that needs to be charged every day to use

Love my pebble. it does not have be charged everyday..maybe once a week. Also, it's the best thing that ever happened for the work space. I cannot have my phone turned on at work..ringer I mean. The pebble allows me to quickly monitor my incoming emails, texts, calls ect. If any of these things are important I can seek out my phone and deal with it. But the biggest help for me is I have to take a spine medicine every five hours four times a day. Many days I'm so busy at work I miss a dose because I forget. Now, after setting up a gmail alert I'm notified every time I have to take my meds. Lifesaver.

i like the concept of the smart watch but current versions aren't going to win my money. The galaxy gear is trash because they tried to make it a mini phone w/ the camera and way too many features, bleh. the pebble is closer to what i'd buy since it has the eink display and good battery life and the makers have a better understanding of what a smart watch should be. both have priced themselves out of my market.

current smartwatches are bit mehh looking forward to see what Apple would come out with..!

Thanks for the story - I'll have to look into it - I'm on a crazy schedule as well...
