Hey, today i seemed to have a problem with my D drive, when i went to open it from my computer, it wasn't there. I figured it died. I restarted and it came back. i'm guessing this isn't a good sign for the life of my hard disk. But I want to see if this was many just a faulty thing. I was told to use the smart monitoring to monitor my hard disk. I enabled the smart monitoring, but now what? Isn't there something i should check for errors?

I'm pretty sure you need a program that supports it. I believe SpeedFan has it in it. Also, if you have Western Digital, you could download their Windows Program and have it run checks, it also has SMART thing built in which tells you how the drive is spinning and whatnot compared to what it should
