Smallest USB Soundcard?

I'd always trust Creative of M Audio for external sound cards.

Hey that one supports A3D and EAX, so it must be one high quality piece, I think I found a similar one with Optical Out with Dolby Digtal 5.1 Live. (sarcasm)

Subtract the horrible speling, and it's obviously an X-fi packed into that little box!! Get it quick before they pack a receiver and a 7.1 sound system inside and jack up the prices!!
 
Outside of that card, What is the best external sound card? Audigy External?
 
For my laptop (dell d610 which has nasty crackly audio output mixed with HDD noise), I'm using an audiotrak optoplay.

Picked it up from tigerdirect a while back. Has a small built in amp (nothign really noticeable), and also has an adapter/setting so you can output optical with it. Makes it nice to be able to switch from headphones to digital out when needed on the cheap :)
