my monitor can do 1600x1200, but, whenever i set the display to that, it expands beyond the borders of the screen...if i move my cursor to the left or right or up or down it will push the screen in that direction....this is kinda weird

prob 2: when i set my display in d3:roe it doesnt fit to the monitor...so if im running 1024x768 or any size, it wont fit to my screen....and, one more i swear, in hl2, if i set the resolution to anything over 1024x768 it pushes out past the screen, much like on my prob above w/the desktop... any help would be great...thanks

It would help to know the monitor and video card...

Have you tried adjusting the size/position of the screen with your monitor controls/on screen menu?

Yeah sounds like you need to go into the monitor properties and shrink the overall size of the screen and reposition the V and H.

envision monitor (viewsonic ripoff) and x800xl agp..cat 5.2

i have tried using the monitor controls and all it does is shrink the viewable screen size
