Hi all,
this is my first mini-itx build, and i need some suggestion.
The goal is to build a server as the HP Microserver but more customizable and powerful.
So:
-high number of hard disks
-possibly support ECC memory
-stability
-possibility of choice among a large number of processors
Here is what i found that can work for my needs:
Case: Lian Li PC-Q18 or PC-Q25
Motherboard: Intel DQ77KB or Intel S1200KPR (nowhere to be found here in Italy and difficult to find in Germany)
Ram: 16 Gb Kingston DDR 3 ECC
SSD: ??
HD: plenty of Western Digital Red
CPU: maybe here i need a suggestion. One low-power CPU is the best.
PSU:??
RAID:??
Fans:??
Must be silent, should support ESX without problems, should cost the is possible apart the HD, it must be low consumption.
Thanks for any suggestions
