sometimes when i pick up my mouse, the cursor shoots to the left....this has just started happening out of the blue...wtf?
 
check to make sure nothing's in the optical sensor... i usually get this effect when one of my cat's hairs is slightly portruding under it.

you, my friend, are a genius!!!!! i found a nice, thick, cat hair in my sensor....looks like im makin some stew tonight...
 
Heh, one time I was using mine normally, but the cursor wasn't moving as quickly as usual. I turned it over and found a nice hair, but it wasn't just stuck in the LED canal. I have to tweezer it out 'cause it was somehow stuck in a really small opening in the different pieces. Boy that was annoying.
