Small OCing C2D mobo?

I'm looking to make the move from AMD to Intel. I'm currently running a SFF pc but the C2D SFF mobo are really crappy. After reading all the issues with the ABIT board I'd rather steer clear of that.

My plan is to build a custom case but still want to keep the foot print as small as I can. What I need is the smallest C2D mobo that will over clock well. I've read which mobos overclock well but they don't say the size of them and it's taking me forever to find the sizes for all of them.

I'm running an nvidia video card (EVGA 8800 GTS SOC) so something in STi and not crossfire is needed.

So can anyone recommend a good ocing mobo 12inch or less. Smaller is better.

Read the first sentence then think again before suggesting this board. I have a friend owning this and he said it has plenty of issues to confuse someone who didn't do his homework.

And it's a mATX board, no need to get the ruler out to measure ;)

What I am not sure of is if there is a short enough board aside from the abit, that is based on an nvidia chipset like the OP requested.

I do not see any nvidia based overclockable micro-atx boards out there so I believe you are out of luck. However you could canabalize a shuttle xpc board (kind of expensive) and maybe get the size down.
Are there even an 650i chipset micro-atx boards out there?

Maybe I wasn't clear in what I wanted, sorry about that. I know about the mATX boards. None of them are worth getting, well at least not for C2D. The ABIT board just has too many issues right now and I'm not willing to build a case around a board that isn't proven.

I'm looking for a small ATX mobo. It's seems the smallest ATX mobo is 12" X 9.6" which isn't bad. I could deal with that and after looking it seems like the ASUS P5B Deluxe LGA 775 might be my best bet for a mobo.
 
Have you considered going the bare bundle route? Shuttle perhaps? There have been some users that have been able to fit a 8800 GTX in some of those cases

A lot of mobo have died. Some OCed and others normal clocking. Enough that I'm not willing to try the board just yet.

No I already ordered a metal brake for building a custom case. Just looking for the smallest ATX board that will over clock well.
