I installed a few optional XP updates. Not sure why. ( yes, I am an idiot)
What happens is I will keep my resolution until it gets into windows. Then the screen goes black for a moment, and goes to a lower resolution not supported by my screen.
But I can easily change it back to the correct resolution. I have tried cleaning out the drivers and reinstalling.
Could the GDI tool be causing this issue?
