Hi, I installed the xigmatek HDT1283 which has 3 copper heatpipes exposed directly onto the cpu, each spaced apart by a strip of aluminum plate. I had installed it once but didnt like how I put on the thermal paste so I took it off to do it again, and noticed that there are now some small dents in the copper pipe that are in the shape of the corners of the cpu, so the preessure from the push pin mounting hardware on the heatsink actually caused small indents in the shape of the processors corners. Is this going to be a problem when I try overclocking the processor (I should mention I havn't even turned the computer on once as it is still being built) Should I look into buying bolted hardware to attach instead?
Thanks a lot!

The vast majority of heat is transferred from the die area of the heatspreader, not the edges, so a few dents near the extremities of the contact area will probably not affect your temps at all. Basically, you've got nothing to worry about.

ya, as long as you didn't make any holes you should be fine there - also a nice clue
for you to remember not to apply too much pressure when installing the hdt1283
