I'm thinking about upgrading my home network to 10g so I can move the vm's and such around (I do a lot of programming for clients and have tons of vm's running). It looks like dlink has some pretty reasonable 10g switches that use cat6 ethernet cables. Any recommendations in this space?

I think Ubiquiti is about to come out with a 16 port 10Gb switch for $599. I think it's 12 sfp+ and 4 copper.

If you are thinking of the Ubiquity switch you might want to check out a discussion regarding it in the networking section of the ServeTheHome forums.

I have used a few of the newer Netgear switches, and have been impressed so far.
