Smack up that Celleron

Here's the scoop i have a 600 mhz celleron proc (socket 370) overclocked through the bios on a 9x 83.2mhz fsb wich gives me 749 mhz been running like that about 2 months with stock heatsink and fan & works like a charm.
That was okay till i ran into need for speed 2 underground,now i wan't to know if i can push the little puppy up to around 900 mhz or better my motherboard has jumper settings for 100mhz,133mhz and auto,where i have the fsb set to 83mhz through the bios i'll asume it's set on auto on the mother board,what i would like to know is if i change the jumpers on the mobo to 133mhz will i need to change the core voltage of the cpu?
{Iv'e heard good things about overclocking these proc's}

I don't know if you'll have to change the voltage...have you even tried moving the jumper and leaving the settings as-is?

go for 100mhz FSB but u'll need some volts

My celery 566 hit 105FSB easily, you shouldn't have a problem with it, I would push it into 112 and 117 on cold nights for a few benchies here and there... mmm fun stuff ... celeries

Well i was gonna try raising the fsb on the motherboard to 100 the odd thing is that according to the diagram on the board the jumpers i need to change are jp 1 and jp 5 prob is where jp 5 is spose to be all i see are 2 solder points it also has settings i can change the core voltage that i found,tried to find info or at least a pic of the board for days no luck closest i can get is a slot mobo but mine is a socket 370 please help people

Where does it say move jp5? Are you looking in the manual? Ususally the best thing to do is look for some writing on the mobo. If it's a semi real motherboard and not a dell or something usually the bus and voltage info is printed on it. Often during manufacturing they change stuff from what it says in the manual so it's best to just look on the board.

If the solder points for the jumper are there you could try joining them with with a pencil or some rear window defroster repair stuff.

Have no manual for the board it was an old demo machine from a local pc shop they have no info on it near as i can find out it was made by pc partner the settings i'm going by are on a diagram on the motherboard if anyone could find a link to a manual for it i would it would help all i can find are manuals for slot 1 boards wich i don't think will do me any good i'll try your suggestion tonight of joining the solder points with pencil lead gbomb944 see if that does anything.........anyways till tonight see y'all later

I had a Celeron 600 that ran at 115FSB (1035mhz). Thats one of my all time favorite CPU's I've owned.
