Steps:
Updated Bios.
Slapped in the drive (XP941)
Slapped in Win7 Pro Disc
Note: Slapping is required.
Booted to install and bam, detects the m2 XP491, and installs windows as normal.
No hiccups, no problems.
My only question is why is the HEALTH reading 92%?
Does it not read properly since it's so new, m2, etc??
(Waiting to here back from seller, they're on [H] maybe they can say what's up)
Benchmarks are good (256gb drive), and it's noticeably faster than the M4 256 it replaced. It's not AS noticeable as 2009 when I got my 1st SSD but it is noticeable, software is loaded instnatly when windows boots and software that was really long with spinners that was faster with SSD (Adobe) are even faster loading now.
Latency was higher than the 256gb EVO though and even a smudge higher than the M4, which I'm contributing to the XP941 being an OS Boot/Drive when I ran the benchs.
Hopefully by summer we see faster / lower latency M2s and I'll throw this one in a PCIE adapter.
