Ok decided to go from the 3.10 Omegas to the 4.1 cats. I decided to run some benchmarks and see some differences. I found that I lost lots of performance by changing. What would cause these problems. Would any settings that the omegas set default and ati doesnt hinder my performance that much? Did I not install them right? I used the Omega driver cleaner as directed and then installed the catalyst driver to be safe.

I upgraded from the same drivers, but my performance has gone up quite a bit. I'm running a 9600 pro.

i used the 4.1s and saw no performance change outside a margin of error but i saw a lot more stability but that was before my comp stopped working on me (its not the video though). I used omega drivers for cats 3.8 and used driver cleaner when i switched to cats 3.10 and whenever i installed any new drivers the comp would auto install the omega 2.4.9.c (i think that is the right name) but the comp thought that they were standard VGA drivers yet they were not so i dont think driver cleaner works as well as i hoped. ended up reformatting and installing clean install of 4.1s

Avatar, I had the same problem at first, before I ran the driver cleaner, but no problem since. Its probly some simple setting or my computer just is to lazy to work right now, like me.
