Greetings.
I purchased a LSI 9260-4i controller card a while back, got all settled down with it, but never really got speeds that seemed proper. I never benched write speeds but I benched read speeds at under 220MB/s with a Crucial C300 128GB
Similiar speeds on a crucial 512GB M4
I believe I have the lastest drivers and firmware for the LSI card, but no firmware updates for the SSD's... I've read the latest M4 update will break functionality with the LSI card.
The card is in a PCIE 16x/4x electrical on a ASUS Maximus Formula III motherboard.
Any ideas of how to fix, and or a reasonably priced replacement card?
Is there a possibility the breakout cable I used isn't up to SATA III speeds? I haven' found any breakout cables specifically for SATA III / SAS 3. I didn't think they were electrically different. I believe the LSI configuration panel reports SATA III as the connection style as well.
