SLK-948U Installation help!

Hey guys I'm having trouble installing the SLK-948U on my Asus K8N-E Deluxe mobo for my A64 3000+ chip. I removed the black-colored bracket on top of the mobo easily, am I supposed to remove the silver-colored backplate as well? The reason I'm asking is cause it seems to be stuck and I don't wanna pop anything I can't put back -_-
 
nm got it out, i was trying to pull it off and it was freaking impossible. then i tried pushing it from the top of the mobo and it came out in a second :eek:
