SLK-947U temperatures...

my system temp is 26C and my cpu is 43C full load... so thats a 17 degrees jump... is what the slk-947u should give me? because i see people with temps as low as 35 full load... their system temp is probably not 18C...

another thing is that when my slk arrived, the plastic film left alot of residue on the sink... even though i cleaned it with nail polish remover... i think its some what affecting the performence...

I have an SP-97, and those temperatures are quite similar to what I'm getting. 26C case temperature, 32C idle temperature, and a 40C load temperature. You need not worry.

One question though, what fan is on that heatsink?

i am using a tornado at full speed. 5v on tornado is nice but it gets to 48C or so... and i also have artic silver 5 on it... i really think my sink can do more than that...

improve your case air flow.

If u want drastic improvements, improve your ambient temp by using AC or leave window open.

my case has pretty good air flow... openning and closing the sides only make 2C difference... with my slk947u, i was hopping to see 10C above the ambient temp... hehe

The NF7's seem to show hotter temps than some of the other boards (or at least in my experience). My A7n8x and 8rda+ where anywhere from 5-10C cooler than my NF7-S. Strange.

alot of boards read out numbers on heat a bit different from what I have seen. And some boards dont report Dye temps but only socket temps (my MSI k7n2 delta plat does that :/) and vias versa. So some people may be reporting numbers that that do not directly correlate. Socket and dye temps are usually a few C different.

according to this website, you're on the money. they actually had 18.2 - 25.2c diff.
