What do you guys think of this case?

I don't have one myself but I do have the Silverstone TJ10. I would expect the FT01 to have the same level of quality and craftsmanship as their higher end cases. looks like like a winner to me.

I have this case. Simply put, it is amazing. The quality is incredible, with a single piece of 4mm aluminum forming the outside. The cooling is also top notch, with 2 180mm fans, it is quiet, yet my cpu temps and gpu temps are not more than 2c different from an open air configuration. Highly recommended.

I almost got this case, but instead went with the X500B. THis case is a unibody case, so it should be really strong and virtually rattle free. The only reason I didn't go with it was the lack of fan options. Front 180mm, Top 180mm, and Rear 120mm. Not much upgrade options.

If you feel comfortable spending that much money on a case then I'd say go for it. From what I've read in reviews it's one of the best computer cases money can buy.

I think it looks very nice, I'd prefer the inside to be a tiny bit roomier though, especially around the hard drive area from the motherboard.

I also got this case for my next build..
it is a really nice case.. it lives up to its name "fortress"
feels durable

I got the all black windowed version

I ordered through Directron.. which has the cheapest price

It is not black coated inside on the non-window version. That's the way i received my non window version from newegg last week.

I recently read an article on this case and thought it was very impressive. But I have one question - Judging from the pics, I don't see any pre-cut holes for cabling on the motherboard panel. Is it hidden in the picture or is the only option to route the cables through the large opening at the bottom of the case?

This is going to be my next case, looks are great, and can't beat the functionality of it.

Probably should've saved my money instead of modding my TT Tsunami and put it towards this.

There is the opening at the bottom, and another large opening at the top of the motherboard tray.

And it looks tot he right of the tray as well, behind the CD drives...

Honestly looks perfect for cabling... atleast without modding it...

it should fit 3x gtx280s fine, i currently have 2x gtx260s in mine. the cards are only as long as the mobo, so it should be fine. only problem with the case is that if you have a mobo where the socket isnt centered with the memory, you will have issues fitting a decent cpu cooler in. i had to return my evga x58 for a asus p6t to get my coolermaster v8 to fit properly.

I'm looking into picking up a new case, but am curious as to what everyone's opinion is between the FT01 and the HAF 932. Which one would you prefer?

They have two different markets. The haf is better for multi-card setups, watercooling, and for people that don't care about weight or size constraints. It is also cheaper. The ft01 on the other hand has much higher quality construction, all aluminum instead of steel, and is smaller. The black powder coating on the interior ft01b-w is also a plus. I'd also assume the ft01 is quieter because of the thicker body, and sound dampening on panels. The ft01 also will have significantly less dust because of the fan filters and positive air pressure, of course, this comes at the cost of airflow. Without modification, the haf will have better cooling.

Personally I don't care for the dust filters, so I took them out, flipped the top fan around (so it exhausts), and stuck a 120mm fan in the 5.25 drive bays. Now the cooling is easily comparable with the haf's.

Have you seen any of the FT01 reviews? Anandtech's review was amazed by the cooling advantages of positive pressure!

Not only have I seen the reviews, but I have the case lol.
The gpus run hot with the default configuration. The stock hard drive rack restricts the front 180mm fan airflow, and with the psu fan facing down, there is hardly any circulation. This is the reason why the haf is preferable for multi gpu setups, the side fan blows air right onto them, so the gpus and psu can get fresh air.

However, if you do not have a large amount of hard drives, the hard drive cage can be removed. If you don't have an incredibly power hungry system, it is advisable to place the psu fan side up. With this configuration the airflow is quite good. My 8800gts g92 maxes at 63c with 25c ambient and 55% fan speed.

Can this case fit the TRUE 120? Also are you giving me a recommendation? I personally cannot stand the HAF.

Sure sounds like a recommendation

i fit a coolermaster v8 in here with plenty of side space. make sure to get a mobo that has the cpu socket centered with the memory slots and you should fit a true no problem. as long as the cpu socket is centered or lower, it should be fine.

I just finished putting my younger brother's new hardware in the version of this case that has a window and a black interior. I'm tempted to replace my modded lian-li v1200b with one just like it. I'm very impressed with the quality of the Silverstone.

I strongly promote this case.
I've been using it since launch, and is the most solid case I've ever used. its a baby TJ07 with a few more little added benefits like the hotswap option and pre-purchase powder coating.

Just a small idea of what can be done...
