Looking into parts for a itx system and all of the cases I'm interested in use slimline cd drives. I'm not familiar with laptop parts and it looks like I'll need an adapter to get from the ATAPI cable to an IDE cable to fit into the epia mobos. I can't seem to find any of these adapters so if i'm going about this wrong or if any of you know how to do this it would be appreciated.
 
Yeah, you will need an adapter to use a slimline drive on an standard IDE channel. You can find some here. I'm sure they're available elsewhere, but this is what I know.
