so it seems that those slim laptop->ide converters are powered by a floppy thingamabob.
i am already using my floppy thingamabob, so i will need to hack off a 4-pin molex and rig a floppy thingamabob on it. one of these: http://www.performance-pcs.com/cata...ge=product_info&cPath=60_164&products_id=1087

it costs $0.39, and i was wondering if anyone here has one floating around that they aren't too attached to. i would rather not make an account and go through all this crap for a 39¢ part.

any help? you'd make my day!

I have some 4pin molex--> floppy adapters. PM me your address I should be able to send you one out if I can find them.

i live near robinson and go to school in greensburg, so i'm always back-and-forth between the two.
