my specs are on my sig.
i want to put a slight overclock on my i7 920 c0. i know my mileage will vary but what are the ranges i can expect with my cpu/mobo/ram with overclock. im not expecting anythign extreme. maybe someone here as the same specs and tell me what settings they used? i dont mind turning of multithreading since im not encoding much. im using a darknight heatsink.

thanks

I don't see why you can't get a pretty large OC on this rig. The gigabyte is a very solid OC platform that should take you as high as your processor will allow. It is hard to say what the limit of that RAM is, but I would bet that you can get the CPU high enough to allow you to just down-clock the RAM and be right back around 1600 (I think an OC to 3320 might be spot on for this), or whatever its limit really might be.... And that would all be with HT on.

Speaking of HT on, with all those nice rigs, and especially the 4 HT CPUs you apparently won't be using anyway you really should be folding for the horde. You could be getting some really nice points.
Also you still have time to get in the boxen giveaway that is taking place from now until the end of May. If you need help getting setup PM me, and also make sure you check the DC forum and the contest thread:
