i noticed benchmarks of newer games.. and SLI seems to offer little to no performance gain.. is this because software isnt quite what it should be...
im not gonna get one anytime soon.. but i like to keep myself in the loop..

Haha, how about keeping yourself in the loop by reading some reviews and noting the 30-75% increase in frame rate that SLI offers before starting flamebait threads in this already war-torn forum?

I personally wouldn't jump on SLI right now because nVidia's about to unveil their next big card. But I might go for it once it's available, along with Athlon X2....

you dont understand, we're not being jerks, please request a lock and use the search function or this is going to turn into at least 5 pages of back and forth abuse. I just gave you a link to almost the exact same question, 9 pages, it was posted last week. Does it not answer your questions?

And I'm sorry if I came off as a jerk! You are right, we're all here for the same thing. Something about your original post just rubbed me the wrong way, due in part to the thread FanATIc is referring to.

I do think the thread should be locked just to be safe :D
