Ok, the day has finally come for me to begin the daunting task of coverting my current box into a kickass SLI system. In short, I have to do some cutting for the new radiator. I'm going to put a new heatsink for my CPU and watercooling. I have to cut plexi (mirrored of course) for the interior of the box. New UV cathodes will be installed along with a new light controller. Replace the mobo and add 2 spanking new MSI 6800GT's. Put my decals on and then fill it with Liquid XP.

I know it doesn't sound like much, but you can believe I'll take my sweet time with this project, considering the money I spent on all of this stuff. I don't want to mess anything up.

So the first thing to do tonight after work is gut out the box and do my cuts. I'll be posting plent of before and after pics for you guys. Well, here are a few pics of the goodies.

It only seems like not much when you read the worklog. Even tough projects seem like they're easy on a worklog, there's much more work goes into each project than it may seem at first. Good luck.

Yeah, I was concerned about that as well, but I'm prepaired to get an SLI certified PSU if needed. I've got my eye on the OCZ 520 Powerstream. Was just going to try and cheat a little to see if I could avoid spending any more money. :D
 
Ok guys and gals. I finished my top cut for my dual 120mm radiator and my Aquacomputer grill with the 2 120mm led fans. I also hooked up the watercooling and tested it. I only tested it for 12 hours because of the FluidXp I filled it with. Here's what I have so far.

Man I so want to redo my rig with an SLi setup. Too bad I keep spending my hard earned cash on trying to force feed my 1999 Neon. 300 hp to the front wheels and a Garrett Super 16 turbo charger are so much more appealing to me right now. Besides, the SLi board I want is still pretty expensive.

But it looks damn good.

So far they seem to work pretty good. I know that they are really quiet. Got to hook them up to one of my controllers, seem they aren't sucking in as much as I would like them to.
 
wow 2 msi 6800s working at once, hell must have frozen over... ive put 4 of those cards into ppls pcs and 3 have been doa

I like the look of those cards. The red is so much nicer than the palin blue Nvidia cards sometimes come with (read: mine) Did you make that top grill for the fans? It looks cool, kinda old-school. Me likes :)
