I want to know if anyone is actually running SLI with 6800's. And there's a couple things I'd like to know:

- Can you run 4 monitors?
- How much better are your frames and graphics?
- Can I get pictures?

I know this is all new, but I know there are guru's with cash on these boards, and after seeing the Tom's Hardware article, I had to ask.

Yeah, the SLI stuff isn't actually out yet, just announced. First we need PCI-E motherboards, and PCI-E vid cards, and PCI-E vid cards that support SLI, then we need lots and lots of money.

Ah I see, well then, I'll come back with this post in a couple months. Thanks anyway.

SLI comes out late august/september, but i would wait for the nvidia chipset to accompany it and wait to see if the benchmarks are true, and all that good stuff.

i decided to keep working a second job this summer just so i can nab one, better be worth all of this fatigue!

Thats pretty crazy isnt it? 2 6800 Ultras in one PC? Life is just great!
No, life sucks because I don't have 1300 bucks to throw down for a new motherboard and 2 new 6800's :(

Apple is going to be using 6800 Ultras with the new 30in Cinema Display.

One dvi for the upper half and one for the lower.

They will have an SLI (similar feature, possibly just dualhead) using two 30in screens.

I would assume a pair of dual 400MHz Ramdacs can handle 4 screens... The passthrough is interesting.

As long as they have that SLI connector on the card, you should be able to link 2 of them provided you have the rest of the required components.

Yaknow what, props to apple. Of late they've been taking some pretty big steps ahead. And I can't wait to see what they've got cooking in the months ahead.
