eVGA 131-K8-NF44-AX -- eVGA 7800GT OC x2 -- Vista Business -- 163.69 WHQL

Both cards are recognized. When I look in the NVIDIA Control Panel I see...

1. Select the SLI Configuration of your system
  • Do not use SLI technology (Selected)
  • Enable SLI (recommended)

If I choose "Enable SLI" I'm prompted to reboot my system, so I do. After the reboot, I look in the Control Panel and see that it's set back to "Do not use SLI technology." The SLI setting won't stick.

Am I overlooking something here? I've installed all the Microsoft hotfixes for GeForce cards in Vista.

Nevermind. I'm going back to XP Pro. I really want to like Vista...I do, but it's just not designed for "older" hardware. I don't think my stuff is that old. After two weeks of blue screens, black screens, no screens, errors, etc., I just going to go back to something that works. I'll try Vista again later after a few more driver revisions or when I build a new PC. I thought I had waited long enough; I'll wait another 8 months.

I'm not saying Vista is crap, but it's crap for me.
