I'm looking for detailed information on how SFR and AFR work. I can't seem to find anything more than articles that gloss over the topic briefly. Do you guys know of any detailed articles or comparisons I could take a look at? I've been googling till my eyes have gone bloodshot.

Thanks in advance!

look at the sticky located at the top of this particular forum, nvidia, and locate the sli guide. There is a link from The Tech Zone that has some info on your query. It's a thread about sli aliasing.

I already went through all of those guides.

The guide you mentioned only touches on AA, not SFR or AFR rendering methods.

What do you want to know?

I mean SFR splits one frame between two cards like 50/50 or 70/30

AFR alternates frames between the cards

I want to find out how the entire process works...what happens after the ForceWare drivers tell the GPUs what rendering method they are going to be using? How is the vertex data distributed for each rendering method? What happens to the frames (or partial frames) once they have been rendered?

I'm looking for specifics, not just a generalized glossing.
