SLi ready PSU?

My question is that if a PSU is SLi ready, will it run cross fire as well? Or do you need a CF ready PSU for that?
 
Yeah it can. It depends though on the PS. If a PS is 750 watts SLI ready with 60Amps on the +12v rails, it should run 2 x ATI HD 3870 cards in Crossfire. The reason why a PS is SLI or Crossfire ready is mainly because that particular PS has been used and tested to run 2 x Nvidia cards in SLI setup or 2 x ATI cards in a crossfire setup. It has earned the label of SLI or Crossfire or both. PSU that are not SLI or Crossfire ready does not necessarily mean it can't run the cards in SLI or Crossfire, it's just that Nvidia or ATI has not tested or used those PS in a SLI or Crossfire setup. Therefore, the PS has not earned the label of being SLI or Crossfire ready because it has not yet been proven.
