Ok, I just received my new 37" westy with my second 8800gts and tried to sli the rig in my sig.

All installed well, boots up, desktop shows up and when i go to enable sli, i click control panel from nvidia settings and my system hard locks. I cant enable sli, i cant even get to the control panel anymore. This is beginning to make me think this purchase was a mistake.

help is VERY much appreciated!

I would remove the drivers and re-install them. Double check to make sure your BIOS is set for SLI mode too (if there is one, not familiar with that board).

ive tried the drivers already, not sure which bios stuff do dl though, keeps locking up constantly when i try to go into control panel.

Look on your mobo for something that switches SLI on and off. Sometimes between the two PCI-E slots.

The 32 lane chipsets don't have a selector card...

You've tried them? How?

Boot into safe mode, remove the drivers through control panel, reboot and install the lastest WHQL's?

(also you plugged power in for both cards, right?)

Don't forget to uninstall and reinstall the motherboard chipset drivers as well. Not just the video drivers.

k, did alot of googling and found out ntune has some problems with dual core proc's sometimes, so i just went into startup options and took it off, restarted, and it worked fine.
