RickRock said:how exactly does it work? Will I have 2 different desktops are just one BIG desktops? Same for gaming on one but surfing on the other. How does that work? How I get the mouse ovet the other screen? Since my video card has dual dvi could I hook one dvi to my monitor and the other to a KVM?

SLiCkFX said:I think you are confused about SLI. SLI = 2 video cards with a total of 4 DVI, VGA or a combination of both. If you have an SLI setup and disable the SLI feature, you can have 4 monitors hooked up. If you want only 2 monitors hooked up, an SLI setup is not needed. All you need is 1 videocard with dual heads.
You can choose to extend your desktop, have a bunch of different ones or span (the dual monitors will act as one). The choice is yours.
You can game with both monitors enabled, but you would have to span it, which looks retarded because of the gap between each monitor. You can have the game in one monitor and surf the net on the other, but you can only do one at a time. So it basically defeats the purpose, you would have to alt-tab out to do one or the other.
