I'm using 2x EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTS with an EVGA nForce 680i LT SLi board with 169.25 drivers

I was able to start and play Crysis once but it was all jumpy, so I went to lower the settings and the screen went black. I can start Crysis now, but when I go to again change the settings, the screen goes black and I have to use task manager. The music continues and the cursor remains can will move, but TM says the game is not responding.

I then tried Bioshock. It started but went black when I went to change the settings. Then I attempted to play Bioshock w/o adjusting the settings. It loads and I see the game screen for a second then it goes black again.

There is also the same error popping up for both Bioshock and Crysis:

everytime the screen goes black and an error message pops up Display Driver nvlddmkm Stopped Responding and Has Successfully Recovered

so, what's up?

oh god, now I just tried TF2... there was a constant switching b/w my desktop and the black screen with the classic valve music jitters... it was a battle to get TM running and to shut TF2 down.

I was successful in playing COD4 w/o a crash.

all these games play very will w/o SLi and one card... do I have the wrong drivers? are there SLi specific drivers I'm missing? my nForce drivers are up to date as well...

:confused::confused::confused:

Since you're able to use one card successfully, I'd guess a power issue.

is the SLI bridge on? I had this issue once when I forgot to put the bridge back on after some maintenance..

that should be enough.. but it's on the fringe... would not be enough for GTXs for sure... have you verified that both cards work by them selves? also, try swapping the gpus into each other slots... do FULL driver clean on the video drivers and then install the latest WHQL drivers.. 169.21?
