Hi guys you all seem to know you way round pcs so I thought it would be a good forum to join!

Anyway I have a gtx 660Ti which I am thinking about sli with a gtx 680 when I buy one. I have a standard 700w psu but after looking inside there seems to be only two connectors booking up my 660 and no spare connectors for another psu :( does this mean I will have to get a new psu or is there a way of adding connectors with a splitter on the connector going to my gtx 660? If you know what I mean lol. I had my pc custom made recently as in all honesty I couldn't be arsed to do it myself and had money to waste at the time. The cables are perfectly hidden away and it seems it will be a right arse to change my psu. Any thoughts would be great! I have no pics but if that helps ill happily take one and add it to here :)

Thanks for your time guys

Chris

you cant sli a 680 with a 660ti. you can add another 660ti if you really want to sli.

you need to list ALL of your components in detail when starting a thread like this. that includes the exact 700 watt psu that you have and the resolution that you want to play at.

Ok well if I was to SLI two 660Ti's then. Is it possible to do it with my PSU even though I don't have an extra cable? 700W is more than enough to SLI from what I have heard so surely I could just bipass the power cords that go to my 660Ti already and add the connectors on?

Here is my full detailed list of what I have:

Vantage Black Midi Mesh Gaming Case
Intel Core i7 3770K Processor Overclocked to up to 4.6GHz
Akasa Nero 3 Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Paste
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard
16GB PC3-10666 1333MHz DDR3 Memory (2 x 8GB sticks)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2048MB Graphics Card
120GB Corsair Force 3 Solid State Drive
1000GB 7200RPM Hard Disk - 6Gbps
24x SATA DVD-RW Drive
Chillblast Basic 700W PSU

DFBHDTS, yeah like cannondale06 said there is no way to SLI a 660ti and a 680 but two 660ti is very doable. I'll be honest I've never heard of a Chillblast before but, if it is of good quality, the 12v line is of sufficient power, and you have the proper line splitter, your good to go. I am running a very similar system on a 675 watt Thermaltake Toughpower without any problems

Yeah ok it will be two 660s then :) the company who created my custom rig is chill blast. And that is their standard 700w psu. So is that all I need to do it cut the wires going to the gpu and add another set for my extra card?
