SLI Air cooling.

Does anyone know of any SLI air cooling solutions on the horizon? I was water cooling but with only a single radiator it was barley handling the cpu / chipset so I didn't bother to plug in my 6800gts. I ended up selling the WT and getting an xp120 which let me overclock further than I could on a crap water solution.

At the moment I'm using the Zalman VF700-Cu which fits on my DFI board with like 1mm clearance and doesn't work too well because there isn't enough room for good airflow. An NV5 Silencer would be good but it's to big and my cards physically wont fit in the board.
 
are you sure the NV silencer won't fit?

If not... then invest in better watercooling? Im sorry it's a jackass answer, but still, get something like a Chevette 86 heatercore, or if your case can fit it, a Bonevelle 77. then get 2 good GPU blocks, and invest in some good ramsinks (the long ones, so that 1 ramsink will cool at least 2 Ram chips, because since the sinks are larger they will cool better)

apart from that... I got nothing,,,
 
The NV5 Silencers will only fit on a A8N-SLi. No other board offers enough clearance between the two cards to pull it off. Even then the NV5's don't leave much room and if your using the Silicon Image controller on the A8N-SLi, there are some minor clearance issues with the SATA ports and the NV5.
 
If you dont want WC you could stick 2 80mm fans on the top blowing down between the cards and another 80mm fan at the end of the cards blowing out. Not really as effective as nv silencer, but helps get those temps down. If you have really high ambient temperatures like me (cpu/gpu ambient is 50C, room is 41C) open a window or something or think about getting some sort of AC.
I am slightly curious as to why you wish to lower your temps, do you plan on benchmarking or do you just want that little OC?
 
Using the zalman at full speed with good case flow I get 56-57 ambient and high 60s low 70s at load (NVIDIA Monitor). My GTs are running at 430/1.2 and I can't get any higher and still be stable without the Ultra voltmod and I don't want to voltmod while they are allready running so hot.

BTW. Stock cooling I was running at 400 with minor artifacts every now and again and it wasn't stable enough to bench. With the Zalman it's up to 430 rock solid and I can bench with it. So these cards are having tengible benifits by being cooled better.
