is that enough to cover an average case of cords? and is it the chinese finger trap type of mesh covering?

I really like those black sleeves. Just wondering if those vantecs are similar/the same.
 
If you look closely at the picture of the Vantec sleeve kit, it does look to be a woven material.
 
I have used it and its very nice to use. BTW Thats what I thought it was too the chinese fingertrap stuff :) I've got it on my pc now and it works well.
