What are your suggestions for the best pin removal tools for sleeving?
I see a Sunbeam kit with several different tools, and a few of a single male or female... but I'm mainly focused on doing the ATX connector and pci connectors.

Any tips?
 
Paper clip and a small eyeglass screwdriver. Other then that the standard male/female plunger tools.
 
What are you willing to spend? I've seen the cheap-o molex pin remover at one of the mod sites, I think it was here:

I also have these, I don't use them nearly as much as the first set, but theres a few pieces that make life easy inside the pc in this kit.

This one is also good, but very cheap/not durable... and I didn't pay near that much for it. This can be had at some auto parts stores.

I realize some could think these are expensive, but the first two sets have a life time warranty and could be used for a number of other projects. But, be careful with these... buying tools is more addictive than pc parts!
 
I've done a few with small screwdrivers, but I was under the impression the plunger was needed for the ATX. I'd really hate to screw my new TX750... I'm messing around with an older Antec TrueBlue 480 right now, and the staple, paperclip isn't cutting it, the connections are so close to the connector.

ATLPIMP, thanks for the link, I believe I know where one of those tools (bottom link) is at. I'll check out some stores here tomorrow or pull over a truck, be it snapon or cornwell.

I'm a tool collector, so I know the addiction.

I'm waiting on some 3:1 heatshrink w/ adhesive right now, but I just did a quick 3 pin with some stuff from wirecare. I'm hoping to have a blacked out system that would be well received on here, and on my desk.
 
The best thing for removing the molex connectors is a needle, trust me, I've done it a lot.

As for the 24 pin and PCI-e connector type pins, they sell a special tool for it.

Be aware this is really difficult and extremely tedious.
 
I had a feeling the 24pin/pci would be the biggest PITA.

I have a 400watt cheapo that was given to me a few weeks back that I'll work on and see what happens.
Progress will be slow for sure, I've had the case a week and still haven't accomplished a dang thing.
