Sleeving Question

ya i got that same kit in uv orange and i ended up with lots of extra sleeving...
good for using with flat ide cables and ccfl's/fans ;)

Awesome, thanks. BTW, does anyone have any guides... maybe with pictures?

Thanks!

Buy a roll of electrical tape and wrap up your wires.

Seriously.

I just did it today...took maybe two hours for two PCs, and everything looks a whole lot nicer, airflow is probably better (but who can tell), and it was cheap. And fun.

Electric tape will make it more stiff, plus when you want to take it off itll be all gooey. And personally I think sleeving looks much better :)

Buddy is right... sleeve it don't use eletrical tape. Take your time and do a good job. Use zip ties on the ends to hold the sleeving in place and then put the heatshrink over to give it a clean finish.

The cables are stiffer, but I'm not going to be taking them off (I only did the PSU and IDE cables, and they never come apart, just unplugged). Besides, it makes me feel good to think that I cheated the evil cable-sleeving conglomerates by using everyone's best friend, electrical tape.

It's more a thing for the "ghetto case mod" thread, but hey, it worked for me and served as a good let's-waste-some-time project.

To each his own, though. I guess if you were actually serious abotu ti actual sleeving would be a better idea.

what should i do about the power LED, hdd LED, power switch, reset switch, usb, audio... etc cables? i think i've seen some people use electrical tape on those. currently i have a bunch of zip ties on them. any suggestions?

I would just sleeve all of them in one "sleeve", to reduce clutter.
