Hey guys i'm sleeving my fans and mcp355 pump, i will be using a heatgun to do so. However will it be safe for the pumps and fans considering the heatgun goes pretty hot and i want to sleeve the heatshrink till the end , will the fan / pump malfunction due to the high heat done so by sleeving the cables all the way to the end ?

It won't take long for the heatshrink to shrink and so the fan or pump housing shouldn't get too hot. Use common sense and don't melt anything.

The black and decker heatgun that i use goes at arnd 250 celcius, but as long as anything doesnt melt the circuit should be fine ?

PS: I'm about to start to get a feel of the "leak test" , i have a spare PSU from my old computer, am i safe to take the bare PSU and connect it to a power socket , and then just connect the molex to the pump for my leak test? Do you know if the EK Multioption res is able to mount directly onto the Blackice GTS that i've bought ?
